Rusty Chicken Aircooled Parts (RCAP) Return & Refund Policy
Thank you for shopping with Rusty Chicken Aircooled Parts LLC. We want to ensure you have exactly what you need for your build. If a part isn't the right fit, we are here to help you get it sorted out.
1. 30-Day Return Window & Conditions
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following strict criteria:
- Timeframe: Returns must be initiated within 15 days of the confirmed tracking delivery date.
- Condition: Items must be in their original, unaltered, uninstalled, and un-machined condition. Parts showing signs of tool marks, mock-up wear, or modification cannot be accepted.
- Packaging: Parts must be returned in their original packaging with all included hardware, instructions, and components.
- Exclusions: Electrical components (including electronic distributors), custom-ordered parts, and clearance items are final sale and non-returnable.
2. How to Start a Return (RMA Required)
We do not accept COD or unauthorized returns. Any COD or unauthorized returns will be denied. All return shipments must feature a pre-approved Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number on the outside of the shipping box.
- Request Your RMA: Email our team at sales@rustychickenaircooledparts.com with your Order Number (e.g., #RCAP1001), the specific part numbers you want to return, and the reason for the return.
- Receive Authorization: If approved, we will reply with your unique RMA number and the designated return shipping address.
- Package Securely: Pack the items thoroughly to prevent damage during transit. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the shipping box (do not write on the product's actual retail packaging).
- Ship It Back: Ship the package via a trackable service (UPS, FedEx, or USPS). We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance, as RCAP is not responsible for packages lost or damaged on their way back to us. We will not accept any COD packages.
3. Restocking Fees & Shipping Costs
- Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to an explicit RCAP shipping error or a verified manufacturer defect. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Restocking Fee: All eligible returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee to cover inspection and processing. This fee will be automatically deducted from your final refund amount.
4. Inspection and Processing
Please allow 3 to 5 business days from the time your package arrives at our facility for our team to inspect the returned parts.
- If Approved: A refund will be automatically applied to your original payment method, minus the 20% restocking fee. Processing times typically take 2 to 7 business days for the credit to clear into your account, depending on your bank or credit card issuer.
- If Denied: If an item is inspected and found to be used, installed, modified, or missing components, the return will be rejected. We will notify you via email, and the parts can be shipped back to you at your expense.
Damaged or Incorrect Shipments
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong part, contact us at sales@rustychickenaircooledparts.com, within 48 hours of delivery so we can correct the issue immediately without any restocking fees.
