Thank you for choosing Rusty Chicken Aircooled Parts (RCAP) to keep your vintage air-cooled ride on the road. We know how important precise fitment and quality packaging are for your build, and we work hard to get your parts packed securely and shipped out efficiently. Please review our shipping guidelines below:

1. Order Processing & Handling Time

• Standard Processing: All in-stock parts are processed and packed within 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays).
• Cut-off Times: Orders placed after 1:00 PM CST will begin processing the following business day.
• Tracking: Once your order ships with the carrier, you will receive an automated shipping confirmation email complete with your tracking number.

2. Domestic Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

We ship nationwide using trusted carriers (USPS, Fedex and UPS) to ensure your parts arrive safely. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the total weight and destination of your order.

Free Shipping Threshold: We offer FREE Standard Ground Shipping on orders over $150. Please note: Heavy or oversized items are strictly excluded from the free shipping threshold due to carrier freight constraints.

3. Heavy, Oversized, & Special Handling Items

Air-cooled Volkswagen components vary wildly in size and weight. Heavy or oversized items — including engines, engine cases, cylinder heads, crankshafts, and piston sets — require specialized packaging to prevent transit damage to machined surfaces.

• Items matching these criteria are subject to calculated freight costs or a heavy-item shipping surcharge, which will be explicitly detailed at checkout.
• These items may require an additional day of handling time to ensure they are securely double-boxed, padded, or crated.
• Please contact sales prior to ordering any engine. Because current LTL shipping rates apply, please contact sales@rustychickenaircooledparts.com for a freight quote before ordering.

4. Shipping Restrictions & Verification

• P.O. Boxes: Lightweight items can be delivered to P.O. Boxes. Heavy items shipping by a carrier require a physical street address.
• Address Verification: To protect against fraudulent orders, high-value components and major engine parts may be restricted to ship only to the verified billing address associated with your payment method.
